"Ben Franklin" |
The sculpture is a seated figure of Ben Franklin on proper left of a bench holding a cane in his proper left hand and a sheet containing the Bill of Rights in his proper right hand. There are two figures of birds on proper right top back slat of bench.

"Boy and Hound" |

"Boy with Thorn" |
A seated young boy sits with his left foot on his right knee taking a thorn out of his foot. The sculpture is an exact replica of the original figure in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, dated from the 5th century B.C.

"Invincible Spirit" |
The supporting structure of the "Invincible Spirit" bronze sculpture is a tree trunk with a branch curving upward (PL). A life-size adult Eagle appears to have alighted on the uppermost part of the branch. The Eagle has a wingspread of 48" and its body measures 14" wide by 28" high. The PR foot is resting on the branch and the PL foot is in midair. Below the adult Eagle is a typical Eagle's nest of many interwined sticks. The nest is about 20" in diameter. There are two eaglets in the nest; one has its mouth open. The adult Eagle does not appear to have anything in its mouth to feed the baby Eaglets. The overall color of the sculpture is brownish and the beaks of the three birds is a brighter more golden color. This is a signed piece by the Oregon Naturalist sculptor, Lorenzo E. Ghiglieri.

"Married Love" |
The seated figures of Lady Churchill and Sir Winston Churchill reside on a bronze garden-type bench. She, Lady Churchill, sits to his proper right facing him. He, on her proper left, looks forward with "whatever it is she is saying to him." These are bulky "larger than life" sculptures. The courtyard contains two flagpoles, two park benches with ornate bronze arm rests. A non-working recording box sits behind the sculpture. Its intent is to emit to the viewer the sound of Sir Winston's voice, giving a speech. The courtyard is surrounded by elevated flower boxes with pine trees behind. A British flag and an American flag are a part of the overall setting.
